Do you believe in luck?

If anyone ask me that question I would say no as I believe in the saying 'sow good seeds reap good seeds' and vice/versa or even the popular word Karma. However people say that I'm lucky on some occasions and unlucky on others for instance as I was about to get a fine and three points on my license for allegedly parking on a zig zag line, out of nowhere came a speeding car with an apparently drunk driver deterred the police men to chase them instead of giving me the ticket. The boy even filled out my details on a yellow slip and I was just about to sign it! I said thank God for that drunk driver. I still say that was some good thing I did in the past catching up with me though I sternly believe nothing happens by chance according to Maat everything balances and every action is caused by another force. Nothing is by chance.

My dad and other old folks have been buying the lottery for about 30 years now and they're not stopping as they still believe in luck. I mean if they were lucky I would have thought they would have won something by now. I just hear stories from them of how they missed out by two numbers or they had a dream of the numbers and didn't play the numbers and the rest of it! I'm sure many of you are extremely lucky like some of you guys with good looking ladies, you better count yourself lucky! On a serious note though, do you really believe in luck? Or is it probability? Another question that came to mind which would be a brilliant article would be 'Do you believe in destiny or can you make decisions to determine your own future?'

The probability of those who believe in luck fro those who don't I guess is 50/50. Obviously my father and his friends believe in luck despite luck itself not having any love for them. Real rappers with the talent and skills must be cursing their luck as there are too many entertainers out there not worthy to have all that publicity.

On a serious note I really believe that everyone has it in them to determine their own futures by making decisions in order to get a specific outcome. Nothing is by chance as I just believe everything and everyone on this planet is connected, even the heavenly bodies such as the moon and stars. I believe people just need to tap into their godly side and make things happen for them, that wouldn't be luck. People just need to think for themselves and know that you can be who you want to be or get what you want. However it is not that straight forward as you can't just think of a nice house and get one straight away. The best example I can give you is look at all those inventors say the inventor of the elevator he/she had to think about an elevator first then act upon that thought to make it come to reality. No one thought of this before that person. You can't leave it up to someone or something else to determine your future in other words you see something you want just go and get it. Do what it takes to achieve things. Everything is just a though for instance you might have a lucky boxer shorts or lucky bracelet or chain. The thing is I believe that there is nothing lucky about these items. They only help you to focus more on the aspiration. What is happening is that you place a lucky thought to that item thus creating a desirable outcome with your thought alone.

People will say that there is no such thing called luck because god gives you blessings etc and if you roll with the devil you are cursed etc. My theory is just like how you may place a lot of emphasis on that chain for good luck you might place the same emphasis on God. My bible teachings told me that 'faith without works is dead'. So no matter how much faith you have and you don't work towards achieving or getting the problem sorted then according to James 2:20-26 then what you are doing is futile. Therefore when you pray for that lovely car or house and get it, just make sure you can keep up with the payments as it's more likely to be hire purchase. I mean if its luck or blessing then it should be free right? No strings attached. I guess it's not what it seems.

So there you go I believe that luck is deeper than a bunch of probabilities in most cases. You may ask what would I refer to winning the lottery as? I would ask you what would you call not winning the lottery as?... bad luck?
