What are you wearing?

This topic is a bit weird but I have to make a comment as it obviously cannot go unnoticed. I'm not talking about funny men who dress like women. I'm talking about the rising trend of men adopting the feminine lifestyle without being seen as feminine. I watched a televised program earlier this year and they were showing native African men vividly dressing with make up etc in order to look good so a woman could pick them from a group of maybe 20. I thought to my self, very strange. It seems like a custom as obviously these men weren't nasty if they are dressing up to impress ladies. I found this really strange but this is not uncommon among black men of today. You will now see men wearing earrings just like women do in both ears, men wearing pink clothes and even perming their hair, what next?

Many will look at a man wearing a pink T shirt and think the wrong thing but let me tell you that this is now fashionable! My personal opinion is it depends on who is wearing it and your fashion sense. I mean only certain men can pull off wearing a pink T shirt, make it look fashionable but I'm not one of them. The closest I ever came to wearing an unusual colour is wearing a red shirt or a baby blue T shirt and look good in it. Girls always compliment my style so I must be right alie?

I also see men perming their hair just like women would do, look at Snoop Dogg, he does it and he is known to be one of the most respected rap artistes. Snoop is known a gangster rapper/pimp, people say he's got style with a capital S and who can disagree? He's one of the few black men out there who can get away with permed hair. What about Didier Drogba the Chelsea footballer, he is known for his perm! And yes Manchester United's Luis Saha used to do it, don't know what he was thinking but... wait a minute these guys are all black French! This is another article I have to write as I noticed Black French footballers have some strange hairstyles. Maybe it's a French thing? Another fad I noticed over the past few years are young black teenage boys in London wearing 'cute' little girls' bags. What's that about! They wear it so proudly they think it's the coolest thing to do. Maybe the western culture along with the media are teaching men to be big sissies! and the black males are catching up to their counterparts? They are now in all sorts of fraternities it seems. Well that's what an equal society gives you.

My Take on The Whole Thing

Well it seems the media influences what we do, how we speak, what we wear and so on. You will see David Beckham wearing nail polish so does Gothic people and think 'well they are famous so its cool, let me try it'. Personally I wouldn't do that if you pay me as I'm not crazy enough to want to look ridiculous, but that's just my opinion. To another it might be the best thing since sliced bread. What I will say though is people should not always follow fashion, they should learn how to be creative! Look at me I look good in almost anything, mix and match thats all! It's not even that expensive. Can't tell you where I buy my clothes because that will be just giving away my secret. Then soon every man out there would start to look like me! Check out the media page but don't copy my style, please!
