This one is for the fellas, not discriminating against the ladies but I don't know about the beauty tips for ladies so will a sweet lady please write an article about beauty tips for women or something. Furthermore this article is about how to build your muscles and I don't want to see my ladies with visible muscles:) it scares me I like to see women being women. Indeed I wouldn't like it if my woman is stronger than me that's just scary, so fellas read on, ladies you can stop now or you can give your pot belly boyfriends or husbands some tips and tell them to thank Tafarre!
So guys you are going gym every other day to work out and get muscles to impress the ladies but you are still eating crisps/chips and fizzy drinks as your main diet eh? Well you might as well stop wasting your time going gym because it won't help if you don't change your eating habits. This piece is just to tell you the best time to eat if you want to build your muscles but more importantly what you should eat. I will give you good sources of protein foods at the end of this article.
If you want to impress the ladies with a good physique you will need to eat the right food and do proper workouts. That's if you're not active in sports i.e. playing competitive football or basketball once or twice a week. Personally I visit the gym especially in this winter I don't want to be out there on a pitch to be perfectly honest.
You Need Protein!
You can train all you want but the fact is that without regular protein in your body your muscles will never grow. Protein builds muscles and you can't build muscles by eating junk! Well these are just my experiences, maybe you're different.
Don't worry continue reading I will give you a list of good protein foods at the end of this article I will also try to explain them!
First Thing in The Morning
You must eat protein in the morning i.e. first thing in the morning because after a long nights sleep your muscles will need protein. This is because your muscles have been used up for energy and the fact is you haven't eaten for 8 hours so you must top up!
Throughout The Day
Instead of a chocolate bar you need to replace that with some form of protein. The thing is you will need protein in your bloodstream to feed your muscles throughout the day so when you eat protein between your meals your muscles will continuously be fed.
Before a Gym Workout or a Football 'Kick About'
As far as I know you have to eat protein before a gym workout. As you train and use the different equipment your muscles will need to be fed to lift those weights continuously. You will also need carbohydrates to repair the muscles after they have been damaged in a strenuous work out.
After a Gym Workout
Same thing after a workout you will need to do the same thing, yes eat more protein to feed those muscles.
Just Before You Sleep
Before you go to dreamland don't forget your muscles you will be going without food for at least 6 hours in most cases, you will need to give your muscles something to keep them going right?
Foods High in Protein
Fish
Tuna/ Salmon
My favourite so I have to put it first. I can't get enough of fish seriously. This is very high in protein and the fat that it entails is really good for you. I know for a fact (it is called friendly fats). So go and get some more fish!
Chicken
Yes the good old chicken is very high in protein but you will need to remove the skin because this is where the oil (fat) is so just forget the skin. The chicken breast is really meaty which is where the protein is so just go get your hands on some breasts (chicken) to get some protein.
Beef
You might be thinking this has more fat than protein. If you buy this at fast food restaurants then yes you have a point however if you cook it properly then beef is rich in protein and low in fat in most cases. You will also get iron and vitamin B12.
Eggs
These are also rich in protein but a I read in a book that it is the egg white that has the most protein. Personally I can't be bothered to eat the egg white and leave the yolk after I boil the egg. The yolk is nice so I tend to ignore them telling me to only eat the egg white.
Beans
What can I say about beans it is very cheap and goes well with eggs and I almost forgot it is very rich in protein. Good for breakfast.
Other good sources of protein are nuts mainly peanuts my dad told me this plus he is right as this is backed up in my research.
So there you have it that's my secret into eating and not looking like homer from the Simpsons. PS if you eat, eat eat and don't exercise then obviously you'll end up fat.
