OJ Simpson is now on trial for some drama that happened last month. Let's just see how this one turns out. Let me just give my take on the events that occurred.
Ever since OJ Simpson was found not guilty of a double murder charge a while ago, it seemed as if the media has a vendetta against the former football star. Many thought he was involved, and some thought he was innocent. On a whole the world was shocked to see him walk away from the courts without handcuffs. Now over a decade later the media and everyone else is anxiously waiting to find out the verdict of several charges made against him, after an 'armed robbery' in Las Vegas. It was reported that Mr Simpson went and stole some sports memorabilia that belonged to him. One of these items was a picture OJ took with former FBI director J Edgar Hoover! Yes the same Edgar Hoover who was responsible for the bringing down of Marcus Garvey and his UNIA movement and the Black Panthers (he was responsible for the murder of several black panther p[arty members). (My question is which black man in their right mind would want to take a picture with J Edgar Hoover'!) It was also said that these memorabilia items were given to the collector as cover for a debt and after hearing that these items were going on sale at very expensive prices in Las Vegas, Simpson and five other accomplices 'allegedly' armed themselves and went to salvage his items from the collector. Please note that there is no proof, as yet to find out if OJ had a gun during this 'armed robbery'' OJ Simpson could spend the rest of his life (up to 60 years) in prison if he is found guilty of these charges.
After watching the media outlets discuss and debate about this story I found out that he got arrested the night before the released of his book called 'If I did It' recounting allegations about his involvement in the famous case he won. This could be a publicity stunt, if not then that was great timing for promoting his new book. To make things better for him, it was reported that the dealer or collector who OJ and his accomplices 'robbed' want all charges dropped.
I believe most large media outlets are trying to show that he has 'done it this time' and should end up behind bars forever as he got away with it the first time. Well that's what I think they are portraying. Whether he is guilty or not, we do not know yet so we should let the courts decide that, that is if the charges are not completely dropped. I mean this could be a publicity stunt for sales of his new book 'If I did It'! Scenario: they plot the whole thing together and after all charges would be dropped by the victim' This is just my guess people; it just makes the story more interesting. Now let's just see how this one turns out. Let me know your opinion.
